Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist
As an avid athlete and dedicated physical therapist, my desire has always been to merge these passions, setting my clients on a path to optimal wellness and performance while supporting them from a place of empathy and compassion. I am co-owner of Forward Motion Physical Therapy with 25 years of experience as a sports and orthopedic physical therapist. Collaborating closely with runners and athletes of all levels specializing in gait analysis, training regimes, and coaching. I have developed comprehensive credentials in treating runners and athletes of all kinds.
I grew up playing sports and could not imagine my life without them. I have raced and competed in swimming, cycling, and running my whole life. Since I have always enjoyed distance running, it was a natural progression and a wonderful opportunity for me to extend my personal journey into my professional life with the establishment of the Running Lab LLC.
When patients and friends in my athletic community say "I went to my medical practitioner, and they told me to stop running.... to rest, ice, stretch, and gradually return to my training," I became frustrated, knowing so well that the "wait and rest" approach is not always the best solution. As many of you understand, when you cannot train or run, it is like losing a bit of yourself. We feel clouded, lonely, unhappy, misaligned, and desperate.
It does not have to be that way. Let the Running Lab help you regain your confidence and reshape your journey. Your partner, your children, your friends, and coworkers will thank you as you don your kit, lace your shoes, and get moving again.

I believe in a comprehensive approach to treating athletes and runners. We are different. I explore the nitty gritty of your current and past injuries. To get to the bottom of "why" an injury has occurred, I Iook your biomechanics, training volume and intensity, daily stressors, sleep and lifestyle. Addressing not only the physical aspects of injury and rehabilitation but also the emotional and mental components. I believe that a positive attitude and a supportive environment are the key to achieving success whatever the goal or dream.
“Never stop believing in yourself.”

How scary is that?
As my friend and running partner, Kim likes to say:
"If it scares and excites you at the same time, say yes!"
